01 Basic Rhinoplasty
Nose surgery is also known as augmentation rhinoplasty. For people with a low nose, simple rhinoplasty can raise the bridge. This procedure is often combined with other procedures to give an overall improvement. Simple rhinoplasty uses a small incision inside the nose and nasal bridge augmentation is performed using an implant or autologous tissue to raise the bridge. If required, tip-plasty using autologous cartilage can extend and reshape the tip.
02 Hooked Nose
A hooked nose (aquiline nose) has a protruding bone and cartilage in the middle of the nasal bridge. This can give people a very strong or masculine impression. Hooked nose surgery smoothens out the bump for a sleek and straight nose. Often this procedure is combined with augmentation rhinoplasty and tip-plasty.
03 Long Nose
A long nose is usually caused by a longer septum or a drooping nasal tip.
A long nose can make the face appear elongated and throw off the harmony of one’s facial features. A long nose can be reshaped by elevating the alar cartilage, trimming the septal cartilage or a combination of the two.
04 Short Nose
If one’s nasal tip is turned upward it may cause the nose to appear short, in most cases exposing the nostrils. Repositioning of the nasal tip can be done through various methods using autologous cartilage.
05 Deviated Nose
A deviated nose is one that is misshaped or bent. This can cause nasal obstruction making it difficult to breath. Reshaping of the nasal bone or cartilage is performed to correct the deviation in the nose. It is important to correct the deviated nasal septum to prevent recurrence of the nose deviation.
06 Wide Nose
A wide nose is caused by a wide nasal bone structure, wide nasal tip or wide nostrils. Osteotomy or alar base reduction can be used to reshape the nose making is slimmer and more attractive. The various methods used will depend on the shape of the nose: alar base reduction can be used to reduce the size of the nostrils and tip-plasty can make the tip slimmer.
07 Bulbous Tip
A bulbous nose is described as being large and thick due to excess cartilage and soft tissue. Tip-plasty helps remove the excess cartilage and reshape the bluntness of the nose. This can be combined with other procedures to dramatically improve the appearance of your nose.
Facial Liposuction
Some people have excess fat in the face even with a slender body. Facial fat can create a double chin making your appearance older.
Facial liposuction gently removes the facial fat around the jaw line. A small hole is made under the chin and behind the ear lobe leaving no visible scars. Fat tissue is initially melted using laser or ultrasound and then is removed by liposuction.
